So I moved to New York City.

Actually its been since February, hence the lack of posts.

I’ve been going to shows trying to get get back into the music…

There are certain signs that show up in dance music that artist do that will lead them into a  infamy. Certain Songs, problems at shows, or just random events that cause their downward spiral of CHESSYNESS!

Such people as DJ Sammy (Causing every 80’s song to be remade into a chessy dance song) to Benny Benassi (his classic big beat sound can only last soo many albums and songs) to …..well you get the point.

Our boy Fedde is dangerously on that line. So ‘put your hands up’ is a classic party tune if you a fan. Its go the classic electro feel and the male MC singing a simple and repetitive hook.  WEELLLL his new song, which i heard on XFM, sounds eerie and sadly alike. So yea Hands UP has been out since summer and only now is burning the charts, but come on please not the same  track with a few tweaks. You had the time to make new stuff.  don;t be another Moby………

So at work, I listen to various different online radio stations depending on the mood that I am in. Radio 1, Digitally Imported, Slam FM, hot mix radio, Fresh FM, m1 live and XM radio. My current fav is XFM. They play the current best hits of trance, electro, and everything in between. They have a good mix also of classic songs by the well known Dutch and Belgian producers. Clearly this is a great place to listen to great songs before they get played.

Another great feature that they have is that they post their playlist for the entire hour on their website. Its easy to navigate and gives u a chance to find the cool song u just heard.

The only down side is that they don’t have alot of DJ shows. they do have Armin’s ASOT and De Jong’s Intuition, but that’s all i’ve heard. My #1 radio site.
